Storytelling Experiences

Storytelling is one of the most powerful techniques we have as humans to communicate and motivate. What are your best tips for telling stories? Have you had similar experiences with telling stories? I’d love your thoughts on this topic in the comments.

Ha – I posted about a second before you!

My tips only relate to my girls – when telling stories keep the pace fairly fast! I’ve had some fun and got a couple of ideas from winging a story and letting Brigitte choose what happens at different points. (She always wants to pack lots of food for the characters to take along…)

Speaking of storytelling, have you heard of Good Reads? http://www.goodreads.com. Well worth the look. It’s a social network for book readers – the true “book face”. Lots of our mutual acquaintances are on it discussing the books they are reading/have read. You can find me under “Thundersbeard”
