I Have Fingers of Thunder

Johny Thundersbeard does not procrastinate about writing

Hanging It

Learn a framework, and you can hang anything on it. Learn the structure of haiku, and you can make a poem out of any sentiment. Learn the structure of a short story (dialogue, characters, description, 3 tries and 2 fails, endings and beginnings and middles; learn the structures within structures), and you can turn any idea into narrative prose. Learn a romantic language, learn an Arabic language, learn a programming language, learn how to sew.
You can build anything you can conceive, as long as you’ve got the foundation just right.
